Superintendent Kiernan had no new information to report on this agenda item.
Superintendent Kiernan has just received the awaited “blue folder,” which now gives us the right to start sending bills in. The town has also received a check from SEMO for $28,000.00, which Superintendent Kiernan believed was for engineering work done in September, 2010. Commissioner Michael Tronolone inquired if there is still bond money; Superintendent Kiernan replied that yes, there is $300,000.00 in unspent money. Chairman Douglas DeKoskie asked if any work is able to be done at the plant this time of year; Superintendent Kiernan answered that, no, work is not being done right now. Superintendent Kiernan spoke of the spreadsheet of what was paid out and how much each contractor has left, with 5% held back. This is included in this month’s reports.
Some work remains
All wells are operational and running
All drainage work is finished
All electrical work is finished
BLUE FOLDER RECEIVED -- PAYMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
This letter will be composed for residents of the Clay Road, Roger Street and Lindorf Street neighborhood. Commissioner Kevin Rentfrow requested that this letter be prepared by the next board meeting; Superintendent Kiernan replied that yes, the letter will be ready then.
Superintendent Kiernan reported to the board that one sample taken in January, 2011 was above the .30 requirement. The newspaper carried the legal notice and this violation will also be reported in the water supply statement. This is not a big health hazard.
Superintendent Kiernan advised the board that there is no raise in the agreement from last year; it has been signed and sent in. Part of this item is the Birches’ generator. The town still does not own the pump station.
Superintendent Kiernan pointed out that the weekly Foreman Reports are included. There were a number of water main breaks during the month.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY KEVIN RENTFROW AND SECONDED BY DOUGLAS DEKOSKIE TO APPROVE THE MONTHLY VOUCHERS FOR PAYMENT. ALL BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT VOTED IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
