INFORMATIONAL MEETING
Gary and Marybeth Chiusano Case # 08 21 7 01
Gary and Marybeth Chiusano were present. Gary Chiusano explained that on the west side of the house, which is located on Schryver Street, they want to erect a 2 car garage. The side yard was short and Variance was required.
Mr. Chiusano pointed out the proposed addition on the plans.
Don Cole: What is the total square footage on the whole property was. The property is 50 x 110.
Kathy Kiernan: How long have you owned the property. Since 1981. There were two out buildings on the property when Mrs. Chiusano moved in.
It was decided that the Zoning Board members would visit the property.
The next meeting would be September 18th, 2007.
Leslie and Barbara Kalmus Case # 08 21 07 02
No one appeared.
Dushyant Shah Case # 08 21 07 02
Bill Brinier appeared to represent Mr. Shah.
Dr. Shah purchased the property that has an existing two box modular. This modular overlooks the river. They would like to enlarge the building and reorient it. They would like the front of the house to look away from the river and the back to look at the river. There is no garage and they would like to add a two car garage. A new master bedroom would also be added. Dr. and Mrs. Shah would like a house all on one level. Also the view outstanding. There is an empty 42 acres lot on one side.
Don Cole: Who owns that? Don’t know, a Corporation. There is a common drive that the two properties share.
Don Cole: The renovations come within 5 feet of the property line.
Mr. Brinier: I tried to get my client to purchase some of the land here (indicating the 42 acres).
Don Cole: Is this all level? Yes it is fairly level. See this dotted line here (indicating plans) that is where it drops down.
Don Cole: Will he try to purchase some of the vacant lot? I don’t know.
Karl Wick: When did he purchase this property? This year. This was built as a spec house.
Don Cole: How long has the house been there? 2 years.
Kathy Kiernan: Asked Mr. Brinier to go over plans of the house. There will be no excavating and the large oak tree will remain.
Don Cole: How large is the property? .779 acres. How many square foot is this lot?
Just shy of 40,000 square feet.
Karl Wick: This is a substantial variance.
Bill Brinier: You can’t go to this side (indicating the plans). A huge bank exists on this side, it slopes down and is all washed out. The land on this side (indicating plans) is extremely safe.
Karl Wick: Can you go towards River Rd.? No, getting to close to where the land drops off.
Don Cole: We are going to have to go down and look at the property. Is anyone living there? There is no one living there just feel free to drive up and take a look.
Don Cole: Any other questions? We will see you on September 18th, 2007.
Don Cole: Call Case # 08 21 07 02 – No one appeared.
Don Cole: Is there any other business? None
Catherine Charuk made a motion that the meeting be adjourned Kathy Kiernan second the motion.
Don Cole: All in favor? Aye.
Don Cole: Meeting adjourned at 7:50
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Henry
